The first course from our Clinical Homeopathy Program familiarizes the student with clinical homeopathy as developed originally in Europe and provides important cultural and historical context to its subsequent arrival and practice in the United States. Students will examine the theoretical underpinnings and practical applications of clinical homeopathy, and review classical homeopathy as an essential counterpoint. This course also introduces the student to the basic principles of homeopathy including, among others, remedy, potency, materia medica, packaging, and regulations. Each of these topics will be explored and discussed in greater detail in subsequent courses.
The second course from our Clinical Homeopathy Program introduces the student to the foundational concepts of clinical homeopathy including, among others, milieu, vitality, health, parasitism, and pleomorphism. The critical role of diet, enzymes, environmental toxins, and other influential factors like emotions in both health and disease are also presented. In addition, the various developmental states of chronic disease including transitory, asthenic, and marasmus are explored along with their suggested treatment approaches.
The third course from our Clinical Homeopathy Program examines the constitutional typology model developed by the acclaimed French homeopath Henri Bernard (1895 β 1980). Major constitutional types derived from biochemical, embryological, and epidemiological observation including Carbonic, Phosphoric, and Sulfuric are discussed as key components of an accurate, efficient, and wholly unprecedented diagnostic system. The coursework also explores the painstaking process known as anamnesis, the comprehensive assessment of a patient's feelings, physical state, and prior remedies, all of which support a mapping of symptoms, both hidden and seen, that ultimately yields a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan.
The fourth course from our Clinical Homeopathy Program reviews the different states of health or conditions identified by the lauded French homeopath Henri Bernard (1895 β 1980) during the development of his constitutional typology diagnostic model. Focusing on the sthenic and transitory states of health, students learn how each of these conditions requires distinctly different approaches to diagnosis and treatment. An overview of symptoms, related remedies, and suggested treatment for acute illnesses (e.g., abscess, fever, and gout) and first aid complaints (e.g., wounds, bruises, and burns) associated with the sthenic (healthy) state is provided. Common ailments, childhood diseases, and gender-specific (i.e., male/female) disorders of the transitory condition (early manifestation of disease) are also considered.
The fifth and final course from our Clinical Homeopathy Program further evaluates the different states of health or conditions identified by the influential French homeopath Henri Bernard (1895 β 1980) during the development of his constitutional typology diagnostic model. Students are introduced to the asthenic and marasmus conditions, progressive forms of chronic disease defined by toxin overload and metabolic dysfunction. Marasmus represents irreversible metabolic and related cellular/tissue damage, resulting in terminal illness that may be treated palliatively. Above all, this course explores the diagnosis and treatment of chronic disease using Dr. Chaltin's Original Protocol for Chronic Disease. Remedy selection and guidance are offered for difficult cases. Numerous case studies from Dr. Chaltin's decades of clinical homeopathy practice are also shared.
